2023 F3F Nationals

6-7 May 2023

Dave Demott launches his Pitbull

BMFA F3F National Championships

The numbers were a little down this year, due in part to the Coronation and also to the poor forecast on both days. Nevertheless we managed to get in a lot of rounds the first day, albeit in rather variable conditions. Flying took place in the south bowl of the Hole of Horcum.

The second day was abandoned due to lack of wind.

Result: the National Champion for 2023 is Mike Evans. Mike was flying a Pike Precision 2. Runner up was Mark Redsell (Device), and third was John Phillips (Mamba).

All in all, the weekend was a lot of fun. I managed to round it off with a visit to Whitby, with the beach bathed in sea mist. My thanks to Jon Edison and Mark Treble and helpers for another well run comp!
