ISSUE: Cannot calibrate flap neutral after flashing OpenTx 2.2.0

Symptoms
After flashing your transmitter from OpenTx 2.1 to OpenTx 2.2.0, the GVAR for adjusting flap neutral is locked and cannot be edited.
Cause
The cause is a bug in OpenTx 2.2.0 (update: fixed in 2.2.1). It causes the GVAR to be corrupted when the EEPROM is translated from 2.1 to 2.2 format. The translation is performed on first power up following flashing to 2.2.
The bug only occurs for translations in situ in the transmitter. If you loaded your models via Companion 2.2, then the translation will have been done correctly and no further action is necessary.
Solution
Two solutions, in order of preference:
- If you have a recent backup in 2.1 format, open it in Companion 2.2 - all models will be translated correctly to the newer format. Read models and settings from your transmitter into a second window, and replace the buggy models with the clean ones (you can use drag and drop). Close the first window. Finally transfer model list back to your transmitter.
- If you don't have a recent backup, then fix the GVAR as and when you encounter the problem. In your transmitter, page to the Global Variables menu and scroll to the affected GVAR. Press {long ENTER} and choose 'Edit'. Set min and max to -1024 and +1024 respectively. Test your setup carefully.
It's also recommended to upgrade to OpenTx 2.2.1.
