Tutorials : Controlling the Countdown Timer

Harry Curzon 3 August 2002

For a countdown timer switch, I fitted a small button, push-to make type, the kind that do not latch down. It has a bright red top so is easy to see and find.

Assign one of the momentary switches to it and then assign that momentary switch to the timer, so that one push re-sets and starts the countdown, next push stops the timer, next push re-sets and starts the countdown and so on.

I have included this in my MASTER model memory with a default 5 minutes, so all I have to do on each new model is alter the countdown start time to suit.
