Welcome to the Hampstead Photographic Society

Carole Rawlinson - "Near Holman, North West Passage"

Established in 1937, the Hampstead Photographic Society is Northwest London's premier photographic club. The Society welcomes anyone with an interest in photography, from beginners to professionals.

Programme

The core of the programme is a series of talks by outside speakers, covering a wide range of topics including photojournalism, the art of photography, urban/street photography, and travel photography - as well as other more specialised topics.

We also hold regular competitions, judged by external specialists. These give members a chance to show their work, and have it assessed.

Several HPS members are highly expert in digital photography, and we hold regular talks on digital techniques using our own digital projector.

Finally, we also have a few informal Members’ evenings where members can exchange ideas and obtain advice.

Our season runs from September to June.
