This years Welsh Open had a strong international flavour with entrants from Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Wales, England, and France. All possible conditions were experienced - flat calm, high wind, rain, fog, sun - you name it, we had it.
Seven rounds were flown with Espen Torp (Norway) the winner once again, John Phillips (2nd) and Paul Garnett (3rd). There were several 35's during one good spell. Paul Garnett just pipped for fastest official time.
Thanks go to Keith Nicholls and the SWSA for hosting another great weekend and to Guy Taylor of Soar HIgh for prizes.

Espen
Torp during the sunny period on Saturday. Weather was fine after
early mist, but lack of breeze curtailed proceedings..
ET
launches for Fritz Kristoffersen (Norway). His inverted-V-tail
design caused much amusement. "Invert" switch on the
transmitter keeps the pilot sane during landings.

cheerful Dave Wright with his Pike.

The
French contingent had a strong model box packed to the gills with
goodies. Demo'd superb Voltij aerobatic machine with a good line
in flick manouevres.
