The McCurdy-mobile with backdrop of La Muela. John's BMW loaded with five people, nine models, and luggage for a week's holiday! La Muela is usable from all wind directions and the top is as flat as a bowling green.

John McCurdy and cumulous. Dig those shades.

Alex McMeekin carries his Acacia to the flightline on Day One

A Tempus.

Tempus again - popular with French and Spanish, needed careful flying to perform well.

Another Tempus being launched.

Event was cancelled on second day due to downpour leaving Kev Newton king of La Muela after five rounds (less one discard) from first day's flying.

Simon Atkinson, John McCurdy and Mike Shellim + 2 Ellipse 2V's. Unlucky Simon was victim of frequency clash which trashed his Calypso V. Flew well with Vindicator borrowed from Steve Cooper.

Lilliput airport... or the campsite with MPX Twin Stars, used for fun and night ops. Note Fun Bus at right. Weather was colder and wetter than usual, "tent" is now a four letter word...

John Bennett steers electric Twinstar onto finals. Twin Stars are the essential accessory. Taken from the campsite, La Muela is in the background.

You can't keep Mr Bennett's fingers from a-twitching... note intense concentration as he plots a curling shot to the top right of goal...

Alex blinks in the light outside the Bar. Spanish hosts fed and watered us very well... so well that my memories are rather faint...
