EPP Pylon 60 - FAQ
- What do I need to go racing?
- Almost any EPP model of 60" span or less. If you're not sure if your model is eligible, see rules. For kits, see suppliers.
- I've never flown in a competition before...
- Club flyers and younger pilots are welcome - the class is designed for everyone.
- Can I fly my combat model?
- EPP combat models and pylon racers are superficially similar. However you will probably need to add ballast to increase straight line speed.
- Aren't EPP models slow?
- Performance and finishing techniques have been constantly improving, and the best EPP 60 racers are very quick.
- How many events do I have to attend?
- You don't have to commit to the full league season in order to fly in a competition. However, if want to be sure of completing the full league, you need to attend at least one of the first three events to have a chance of getting four scores in.
